We are seeking an experienced Site Controller to support a manufacturing operation in Winnipeg. Reporting to senior financial and operational leadership, this role partners closely with management to drive financial performance, cost control, and accurate reporting. The Site Controller will oversee site-level finance and cost accounting, ensure timely month-end close, and support corporate reporting requirements.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and maintain the standard costing model for Quest
* Setup and maintain the bill of materials for existing and new products
* Review, analyze, and report on inventory valuation, direct and indirect labour, raw material, and other overhead costs and related variances
* Ensure proper costing of WIP / FG
* Ensure that proper controls are in place to ensure accurate tracking of inventory movements
* Responsible for maintaining KPI’s for manufacturing metrics and initiatives
* Drive and facilitate process improvement
* Maintain accurate inventory via physical inventory / cycle counts and reconciliation against the perpetual inventory. Assist in the coordination of the annual physical inventory
* Calculate obsolete inventory reserves and drive initiatives to reduce obsolescence
* Complete monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and work directly with the RH Corporate Controller to complete the monthly close process
* Supervise Accounting staff to ensure that the A/R, A/P, and payroll functions are performed accurately and on-time
* Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual budget
* Act as the primary point of contact at the site for all audits. Work closely with the Corporate Controller to support the external audit process
* Ensure compliance with relevant corporate policies and procedures
* Ensure that all financial records & statements are in accordance with GAAP
* Evolve into the Super-User for the ERP system and Accounting system (inventory, costing modules, billing, accounts payable and general accounting).
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* Post secondary education in Business / Finance preferred
* Professional accounting designation preferred but not required
* Must have 3+ years’ accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Must have experience in cost accounting, inventory management and product cost analysis.
* Must have the ability to understand manufacturing production processes and the related application to costing products.
* Experience completing financial analysis.
* Experience of month end reconciliations from sub-ledgers to General Ledger.
* A strong grasp of standard costing development, absorption costing and cost analysis.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Strong MS Excel Skills.
* Must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
