In this role, you will create precision parts using lathes and milling machines, working from detailed company plans and blueprints. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes and mills to fabricate metal parts according to specifications
* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations
* Use hand tools and power tools to perform machining tasks
* Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning
* Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
* Assemble components using mechanical knowledge and techniques
* Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* Proficiency in manual machining techniques including turning, milling, drilling and tapping
* Ability to perform basic fabrication tasks
* Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
* Proficiency using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges etc.
* Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
* Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
