We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations while providing strategic insight to support business growth. This role is ideal for a CPA-designated professional who thrives in a leadership role, enjoys working closely with operations, and wants to take full ownership of the finance function.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the Financial Controller will play a key role in decision-making, financial planning, and driving best practices across the organization.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 
* Own and lead the finance function, providing strategic financial insight to leadership
* Participate in Leadership Team meetings and support business planning initiatives
* Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships, oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
* Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Ensure accurate reconciliations, and month-end close
* Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting
* Conduct monthly variance analysis and quarterly financial reviews
* Support project-based and recurring revenue financial analysis
* Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations
* Coordinate audits and regulatory filings
* Liaise with external accountants on corporate tax and planning matters
* Oversee accounting systems and integrations
* Support system enhancements and accounting process improvements
* Lead, mentor, and support a finance team and promote a collaborative and accountable team culture

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
* CPA designation (completed)
* Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
* Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
* Experience in IT services, technology, or professional services is an asset
* Familiarity with project-based accounting and recurring revenue models is an asset
* Power BI or advanced reporting experience is an asset
* Strong business tax exposure is an asset
