Electrician - Nights
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Electrician will be responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the facility’s electrical systems.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Electrician will be responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the facility’s electrical systems.
- Day to day trouble shooting, repair and installation of low and high voltage (single/three phase) industrial electro-mechanical and control systems.
- Repair, troubleshooting and installation of machinery including electrical and electronic equipment, control systems and automation.
- Electrical wiring and testing of automated systems.
- Preventative maintenance and servicing metal forming equipment.
- PLC and HMI programming changes and troubleshooting including modification and calibration of equipment.
- Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules.
- Ensure completion of required documentation, legal standards compliance,
- Assist in maintaining documentation for existing and new equipment, control, and building power system installations.
- Must read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings and sketches to determine problem and make appropriate repairs.
- Creation/updating of electrical parts lists as required.
- Provide assistance to mechanical installations as directed.
- Work with engineering, production and outside contractors to solve design, developmental and other improvement initiatives.
- Help Development and implementation of preventive maintenance system.
- Use forklift or overhead crane as required to perform required maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A valid Journeyman Electrician certificate
5 to 8 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing processes. 3 to 5 years of experience with PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting skills required. Experience with a wide range of PLC hardware systems including and not limited to PLC5, SLC, Control Logix, Motion Control, Micorlogix, Panel View, Indromat drive, and Power Flex Drives
Compensation: 45.40 with Night Premium
