A well-established equipment and manufacturing organization is seeking a Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and provide office and business support functions.
Working closely with the General Manager, this role will focus on developing and implementing operational financial metrics and processes that accurately reflect business performance. The Controller will play a key role in driving financial visibility, supporting decision-making, and improving internal processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 
* Develop and refine cost accounting systems and reporting models
* Track, analyze, and report production and operational costs 
* Maintain general ledger and month-end and year-end close activities
* Prepare cost of goods sold and margin variance reports with actionable insights
* Monitor inventory valuation, stock adjustments, and cost allocation methods
* Collaborate with Operations to evaluate cost drivers and recommend improvement strategies
* Support forecasting, and financial planning activities
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards
* Lead process improvements to streamline financial reporting and cost visibility
* Provide financial analysis to leadership to support pricing decisions and profitability
* Oversee payroll process including reconciling and maintaining all payroll related general ledger accounts
* Responsible for all government remittances
* Oversee Accounting staff 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* CPA Designation Required 
* 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting; cost accounting experience required
* Strong knowledge of GAAP & ASPE accounting principles
* Experience in medium sized manufacturing environment
* Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems
* Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and present financial insights clearly
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
