We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and month-end reporting. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively with management and field teams. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Payworks is essential.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage Accounts Receivable, including monitoring, collecting, and following up on overdue payments to reduce outstanding balances.
* Oversee Accounts Payable, ensuring invoices and Schedule of Values are completed and submitted each month.
* Prepare and distribute Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) reports and statutory declarations with monthly invoicing.
* Execute accurate and timely month-end closing procedures.
* Assist the Controller with fund and cash flow management.
* Administer biweekly payroll for employees using Payworks.
* Review and verify employee hours, overtime, and banked time through Workforce in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
* Collaborate with foremen to confirm time entries and ensure payroll accuracy.
* Support year-end financial processes and reporting
* Maintain and document accounting procedures, providing training and guidance to team members as needed.
* Utilize QuickBooks Online (QBO) extensively for accounting, payroll, and financial reporting, demonstrating expert-level proficiency.
