As a Product Design Engineer specializing in Noise Control, you’ll be at the heart of custom solution development – taking unique client challenges from initial concept through to manufacturing reality. This isn’t cookie-cutter engineering; every project presents new technical puzzles to solve.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY IMPACT:
Custom Design & Development
* Engineer bespoke noise control products from client specifications to manufacturing blueprints
* Collaborate with applications teams to develop innovative solutions for unique customer requirements
* Utilize advanced 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD) for detailed design work
Production Partnership:
* Work directly on the production floor to ensure design intent is maintained during fabrication
* Hands-on troubleshooting of manufacturing challenges
* Bridge the critical gap between engineering vision and production reality
Technical Problem-Solving:
* Apply your mechanical aptitude with tools, fasteners, and precision manufacturing
* Manage material estimates and work closely with purchasing teams
* Lead cross-functional collaboration to optimize manufacturability and cost efficiency
Project Leadership:
* Drive projects from concept to completion with strong project management skills
* Communicate technical solutions across departments and with external stakeholders
* Balance multiple custom projects with varying timelines and complexity levels
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or equivalent
* 5+ years of design and R&D experience with hands-on problem-solving
* Proficiency with 3D CAD software and MS Office applications
* Strong mechanical aptitude – comfortable with tools, manufacturing processes and precision work
Preferred Background:
* Experience in sheet metal manufacturing or HVAC industry
* Knowledge of design for manufacturability principles
* Understanding of product development lifecycles
