THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our client is a globally recognized leader in best-in-class fuel, power and water storage solutions – delivering with speed and precision wherever their customers need it most. With consistent 20%+ year-over-year growth and a presence spanning North American, the UK, Dubai and beyond, this is a company that is building something significant. Their Winnipeg facility is a purpose-built, modern operation housing a collaborative and close-knit team of approximately 26-27 people – and they are proud to be certified “A Great Place to Work”.

We are seeking a technically exceptional Mechanical Design Engineer with a deep specialization in Finite Element Analysis (FEA). This role is approximately 80-85% simulation work - running advanced structural and fluid performance analyses on tanks, military-grade projects, and complex product development for a global engineering team. If you are a methodical, detail-driven engineer who genuinely loves the work of simulation and wants to do it at the highest level, this role was built for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
* Perform advanced FEA and CFD simulations (linear and non-linear) to verify structural and fluid performance on tanks, military products and complex storage systems.
* Interpret simulation results against applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks to ensure designs are robust and compliant.
* Provide proficient SolidWorks models and detailed fabrication drawings to support the global design team and Winnipeg production floor.
* Review, analyze, and interpret customer and supplier data and specifications to inform design decisions.
* Apply basic welding and joint detailing knowledge to support fabrication-ready designs.
* Provide technical guidance and support to production teams.
* Collaborate directly with project managers, business development, production and clients with professionalism and clarity.
* Assist in the estimation of tenders and explore opportunities to minimize compliance-related costs.
* Contribute to writing technical reports and engineering documentation.

EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS:
* 3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience, with a strong focus on FEA simulation and analysis.
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Highly proficient in SolidWorks Design SolidWorks Simulation (including advanced simulation packages).
* Demonstrated ability to run and interpret complex FEA simulations independently and with a methodical, detail-oriented approach.
* Solid understanding of manufacturing processes – welding, forming, maching – and how they relate to design and simulation.

BONUS: Experience with CFD simulation, a background in piping, fuel storage systems, or pressure vessel design.
