WHAT YOU WILL DO
As the Tool Department Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations within the power tool retail division. You’ll manage a dynamic retail space, maintain strong vendor relationships, ensure optimal inventory levels, and provide a high level of customer service to contractors and retail customers alike.
* Oversee daily operations of the power tools department, including sales, merchandising, and inventory.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and customers
* Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and purchasing to ensure optimal product availability
* Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing, secure promotions, and stay current on new product offerings
* Provide expert advice and technical guidance on power tools and related products
* Lead and motivate a team to achieve sales and customer service goals
* Monitor department performance, analyze sales trends, and identify growth opportunities
* Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly retail environment
MUST HAVES
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a retail environment, ideally in hardware, tools, or construction supply
* Strong knowledge of power tools and related products
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, customers, and vendors
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on customer satisfaction
