YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop technical drawing sets from concept to design for custom homes and multi-family dwellings.
* Maintain current knowledge of local/provincial building codes and by-laws, ensuring architectural and structural requirement compliance.
* Submit design files for review and approval.
* Coordinate with construction managers through planning, development, and construction phases for each project.
* Develop residential blueprints for construction manager.
* Verify designs for accuracy and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* Post-secondary degree or diploma in architectural technology or environmental design
* 1–2 years experience designing and drafting drawings for new home, multi-family, or commercial construction projects
* Solid understanding of local and provincial building codes
* Demonstrated work ethic, creativity, and self-motivation
* Willingness to take initiative and continuously learn
* Experience using SoftPlan software is an asset
