Our client’s IT Infrastructure team is expanding, and we are seeking a Senior Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery (DR) Specialist. In this high-impact role, you will be the architect and guardian of their mission-critical systems. You won't just manage existing solutions; you will design, implement, and lead enterprise-grade strategies to ensure the client’s data is secure, resilient, and recoverable against any threat—from hardware failure to cyberattacks.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Architectural Design: Design and implement comprehensive, high-availability backup and recovery strategies for a complex hybrid environment (On-Premises + Azure).
* Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain enterprise backup software and storage hardware, including lifecycle management, patching, and upgrades.
* Operational Excellence: Proactively monitor backup jobs and system performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure 100% data integrity.
* DR Validation: Lead regular disaster recovery testing exercises, validating restoration procedures to guarantee business continuity.
* Resource Optimization: Analyze storage trends to forecast capacity; utilize deduplication and compression to optimize costs and performance.
* Workload Orchestration: Collaborate with infrastructure teams to mitigate CPU saturation and rebalance virtual machine workloads across clusters to alleviate resource contention.
* Policy & Governance: Develop and maintain rigorous documentation, recovery playbooks, and ITIL-aligned procedures.
* Leadership: Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and stay at the forefront of emerging data protection technologies.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
* Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud (highly preferred) or AWS.
* Expertise in Veeam, Commvault, and Azure backup solutions.
* Deep knowledge of SAN, NAS, VMware vSAN, and Azure storage solutions.
* Strong Windows/Linux administration skills using CLI-based tools.
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
* Familiarity with Azure DevOps and ITSM/ITIL frameworks.
* Superior troubleshooting abilities, strategic problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical roadmaps to business stakeholders.
