YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
*Engage with members to identify business challenges, industry trends, and market factors impacting the organization.
*Develop, coordinate, and deliver workforce development programs, workshops, webinars, certification programs, and educational sessions within approved budgets.
*Research new training opportunities, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend continuous improvements.
*Monitor training budgets, track expenses, and support financial planning.
*Represent the organization at trade shows, career fairs, and industry events.
*Build and maintain relationships with members, industry partners, sponsors, government agencies, educational institutions, training providers, and post-secondary institutions to support workforce development initiatives.
*Support mentorship and scholarship programs to foster industry talent development.
*Oversee sponsorship programs and identify funding opportunities, including grants, to support workforce development initiatives.
*Coordinate keynote speakers, educational sessions, and the delivery of training programs and events, including registrations, participant engagement, logistics, and communications.
*Collaborate with internal teams to promote training programs through digital and marketing channels.
*Maintain accurate training records, certification compliance, and workforce development resources.
*Contribute to Board and committee meetings by providing operational insights, reviewing meeting documentation, and supporting committee initiatives.
*Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate records, support financial administration, and assist with post-event evaluations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
*University degree or college diploma in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Minimum of two years of experience in program coordination, workforce development, training, event planning, or a related field.
*Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
*Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
*Experience working with volunteer Boards or supporting Board governance is considered an asset.
*Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
