Warehouse Supervisor – Evening Shift

Reports To: Warehouse Manager / General Manager
Salary Range: $55,000 – $60,000 annually
Schedule: Evening Shift
Requirements: Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the Warehouse Manager to ensure the efficient use of personnel, equipment, and facilities. This position is responsible for coordinating team members and maintaining high standards in productivity, accuracy, safety, and customer service.
This role requires flexibility in working hours and may include cross-training in multiple warehouse functions. The position involves both supervisory responsibilities and hands-on warehouse duties, including working in refrigerated environments and performing physical tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in wholesale distribution
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience (preferred)
- Experience with warehouse equipment and hand-held scanners
- Certification or training on pallet jacks, forklifts, and powered equipment
- WHMIS training required
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Team Leadership
- Assist in building and maintaining a motivated, high-performing warehouse team
- Supervise staff and coordinate daily warehouse operations
- Train and cross-train employees; maintain and update skills matrix
- Identify skill gaps and implement development plans
Performance & Productivity
- Support achievement of production and accuracy targets
- Help manage labor and damage costs within approved budgets
- Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to all SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory requirements (WHMIS, TDG, etc.)
- Promote and enforce health and safety standards
- Participate in or lead Safety Committee activities
- Maintain a clean, organized facility (5S standards)
Inventory & Quality Control
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO)
- Assist with inventory management and year-end physical counts
- Oversee returns processing and inventory accuracy
- Support quality procedures and implementation efforts
Communication & Collaboration
- Foster positive communication across teams and departments
- Collaborate with management on planning and projects
- Assist in employee performance evaluations
Security & Administration
- Ensure facility security protocols are followed, including locking procedures
- Support compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move products
- Picking and packaging items
- Working in refrigerated environments
- Frequent standing, walking, and manual handling
