Our client, a fast-growing, family-owned company specializing in engineered building components, is looking to add a Truss & Roof Designer with experience in Engineered Wood Products (EWP) to their expanding team.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of two key client accounts—managing all aspects of design work, customer communication, and project approvals. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, high-quality designs while ensuring timelines, details, and client expectations are met with precision.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
* Design and engineer roof trusses and EWP layouts using Alpine software
* Manage design projects for two large client accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
* Communicate directly with customers to review project details, approvals, and design changes
* Provide solutions to design challenges and support production teams with clear, organized layouts
* Coordinate with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth handoffs from design to production
* Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with building codes and engineering standards
WHAT YOU BRING
* Proven experience in truss and/or roof design, ideally with EWP exposure
* Proficiency in Alpine design software (MiTek or similar also an asset)
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve design challenges
* Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects
* Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
