Construction Project Coordinator
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Industry: Construction
Pinnacle is exclusively recruiting on behalf of a leading interior subcontractor known for delivering high-quality work across some of Manitoba’s most recognizable commercial projects — including hospitals, museums, and high-rise office developments.
This is an ideal opportunity for a high-potential construction professional who’s ready to step into a role that offers exposure, responsibility, and a clear path toward Project Management.
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY
A True Growth Role:
This is not a static coordinator position. You’ll work directly alongside experienced Project Managers, gaining hands-on exposure across the full project lifecycle — positioning yourself for a natural progression into a PM role.
High-Profile Projects:
Be part of complex commercial builds that are shaping the Winnipeg market — from institutional to large-scale office developments.
Ownership & Variety:
You’ll wear multiple hats, take on real responsibility early, and become a key contributor to project success — not just an administrator behind the scenes.
Strong Team Culture:
Work in a performance-driven environment that values accountability, collaboration, and a “work hard, have fun” mentality.
THE ROLE AT A GLANCE
As a Project Coordinator, you will support the successful delivery of multiple commercial construction projects — from pre-construction through to closeout — ensuring projects stay organized, on track, and well-communicated.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support Project Managers through all phases of the project lifecycle — from RFP to completion
- Maintain and organize project documentation, files, and tracking systems
- Manage day-to-day project correspondence with clients, consultants, and trades
- Coordinate and track project materials and supplies to support site execution
- Attend site meetings and conduct walkthroughs to stay aligned with field progress
- Assist with scheduling, reporting, and general project coordination functions
MUST HAVES
- 1-3 years of commercial construction experience in Canada
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced office or project environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
WHO THIS IS FOR
This role is best suited for someone who:
- Wants to grow into a Project Manager in the commercial construction space
- Enjoys being in the middle of the action — balancing office coordination with site exposure
- Takes ownership, asks questions, and looks for ways to add value beyond their scope
