YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 
*Oversee payroll and benefits administration across multiple divisions and corporate staff.
*Review payroll and act as backup for payroll processing when administrators are unavailable. 
*Manage employee benefits, including annual reviews and support for employee enrollment, without making final benefit design decisions. 
*Administer Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan (DPSP) funding for a significant portion of employees by preparing required spreadsheets and submitting contributions to the plan provider. 
*Manage RRSP contributions and remittances to various pension plans, including provincial and union-sponsored programs. 
*Ensure changes from collective agreements are accurately implemented by the payroll/HR team. 
*Collaborate closely with senior finance leadership and HR partners supporting operational divisions. 
*Promote the organization’s total compensation package, including profit-sharing, wages, vacation, and education reimbursement programs. 
*Support mergers and acquisitions activities by conducting due diligence on benefits, pension plans, and vacation entitlements for acquired entities. 
*Complete year-end remittances for government statutory deductions such as CPP and EI.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
*Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
*PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or PLP (Payroll Leadership Professional).
*CEBS designation considered an asset.
*Background in manufacturing considered an asset. 
*Experience working with senior executives, including VP-level stakeholders and above. 
*Experience in mid-sized to large organizations. 
*Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (security master level), with the ability to optimize system use and drive improvements. 
*Proven ability to influence leadership, lead change, and manage resistance within payroll or HR environments. 
*Service-oriented mindset, viewing payroll as a strategic support function. 
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an outgoing and collaborative approach. 
*Willingness to travel approximately 10%, including onboarding overlap and visits to key sites. 
*Growth mindset with interest in enhancing total rewards programs and contributing innovative ideas.
