Pinnacle is proud to be partnering with Manitoba Egg Farmers in the search for a General Manager to provide strategic leadership and support the continued strength and sustainability of Manitoba’s regulated egg industry.

Join Manitoba Egg Farmers as General Manager, providing senior leadership across strategy, operations, and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with the Board of Directors, you will support long-term planning, strengthen governance practices, and ensure effective day-to-day operations. The role includes leading advocacy and external relations, overseeing financial management and regulatory compliance, guiding a high-performing team, and building strong relationships across the agricultural sector while representing Manitoba Egg Farmers externally when required.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
*Work closely with the board of directors to advance the organization’s strategic direction, track developments across the sector, and support long-term stability and growth. 
*Direct advocacy and government relations activities with municipal, provincial, and federal stakeholders while cultivating and sustaining relationships with regulatory agencies and partners in the broader agricultural and agri-food ecosystem. 
*Collaborate with the board to strengthen governance practices by developing agendas, briefing materials, and strategic recommendations, while maintaining appropriate separation between governance and operational management. 
*Lead and oversee daily organizational functions, including stakeholder services, communications (internal and external), and the execution of programs and initiatives. 
*In partnership with the board, prepare and manage the annual budget, ensure robust financial stewardship and reporting, and oversee contracts and funding-related agreements. 
*Ensure adherence to all relevant provincial and federal regulatory requirements, maintain accurate corporate records, and uphold established bylaws, policies, and internal procedures. 
*Guide and support a skilled team, promoting a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace environment focused on high performance. 
*Facilitate meaningful engagement with stakeholders across the agricultural value chain, strengthen key relationships, and represent the organization publicly when required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 
*Post-secondary education in agriculture, business, public, administration, or another related field. 
*7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in a not-for-profit organization operating under a board governance model, ideally within agriculture or agribusiness. 
*Knowledge of Manitoba’s agricultural sector and an awareness of rural and policy-related issues would be considered beneficial. 
*Demonstrated success in leading advocacy work, managing government relationships, and engaging a wide range of stakeholders. 
*Solid experience in financial stewardship, including budget development, oversight, and long-term planning. 
*A forward-thinking and strategic approach with the ability to work through complex and evolving challenges. 
*Sound judgment, strong ethical standards, and a clear commitment to advancing and supporting the agricultural community in Manitoba.
