YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
*Operational Improvement - Lead operational improvement initiatives across dispatch, routing, fleet utilization, and terminal operations to improve efficiency, optimize asset and driver productivity, reduce costs, and enhance service performance and operational consistency.
*Cost Reduction & Profitability - Lead cost reduction and profitability initiatives by improving fuel efficiency, fleet uptime, labor utilization, and operational performance while identifying inefficiencies across workflows, vendor relationships, and transportation operations.
*Data, Reporting & KPI Management - Develop and leverage operational dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting using Power BI, Excel, TMS, ERP, and telematics platforms to drive data-informed decision-making, improve operational performance, and monitor key transportation metrics.
*Technology & Process Transformation - Lead process modernization and technology initiatives by implementing and optimizing TMS, telematics, automation, dispatch, and analytics platforms while identifying opportunities for AI-driven operational efficiency and performance improvement.
*Continuous Improvement & Change Management - Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the organization by leading cross-functional projects and driving sustainable change through effective process improvement and change management strategies.
*Leadership & Collaboration - Collaborate with operational and corporate leadership to align improvement initiatives with business goals, drive cross-functional collaboration, provide strategic recommendations, and support teams in adopting continuous improvement practices.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
*7+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, or supply chain operations
*Strong understanding of trucking operations, dispatch, fleet management, maintenance, safety, and freight movement
*Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement or business transformation initiatives
*Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
*Experience with transportation technologies including TMS, ERP, telematics, and reporting platforms
*Advanced proficiency with Power BI, Excel, and operational reporting tools
*Experience with Lean Logistics, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred
*Strong project management and change leadership skills
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
*Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution
*Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward ownership, initiative, and building practical solutions in fast-paced operational environments
