Step into a role as the CNC Wood Machinist / Millwork Specialist, where you’ll utilize both automated CNC routers and manual woodworking equipment to produce high-quality custom wood components with precision and craftsmanship. This position requires strong knowledge of solid wood properties, custom millwork production, and precision machining, along with a hands-on approach to operating a variety of shop equipment while maintaining exceptional quality and accuracy standards throughout the manufacturing process.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
*Operate and maintain CNC routes for cutting, shaping, and machining wood components
*Set up and run woodworking machinery including drill press/table, shaper, sanders, table saw, jointer, rip saw, planer, and edge bander
*Interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to ensure accurate production
*Select appropriate solid wood materials based on grain, stability, and project requirements
*Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and calibration for optimal performance
*Ensure consistent quality control and adherence to specifications and tolerances
*Sand, shape, and finish wood components as required
*Troubleshoot machining or material issues and make adjustments as needed
*Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
*Follow all safety procedures and company policies

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
*Minimum 10 years of experience in CNC woodworking or millwork
*Strong knowledge of solid wood characteristics, movement, and machining behavior
*Experience operating CNC routers and programming (preferred but not required)
*Proficient with woodworking equipment: table saw, jointer, planer, shaper, sanders, rip saw, drill table, and edge bander
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut lists
*High attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
*Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Experience with CAD/CAM software (Hops)
*Custom cabinetry or architectural millwork background
*Knowledge of different wood species and finishes
*Ability to stand for extended periods
*Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
*Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise and dust
