Role Description
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications prepared by architects to determine the layout of construction sites and ensure building code requirements are met.
- Cut, shape, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials according to specs.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings and trim, or hardware, using carpenter's hand and power tools.
- Work with suppliers to obtain necessary material while staying within budget.
- Consulting with other construction professionals to ensure the best possible results.
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills, including experience with framing, finish carpentry, and hand and power tools.
- Experience in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and shape materials using various power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Experience in the construction industry and working on construction sites.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or a diploma in carpentry is a plus.
- Must be dependable and have a good work ethic.
- Ability to learn, listen and collaborate with the team is a must.
- Valid drivers license and own transportation with ability and willingness to travel out of town for work.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour depending on experience
